How this site works:
Register, and then you can search profiles of other people in you area. You are required to provide basic information, including zip code. When you find a match for yourself, you can email them through this site. If others think you may be a good match for them, they can email you.
Enter your information on the registration page, and then check your email. Click the link in your email to verify it is a valid address. Now your account is verified and you can enter your user information.
Please provide your user information so that others can find you. Whether you are registering as a donor or a recipient, your profile is searchable so that others can make matches in their area.
The required fields are: name so we know what to call you; zip code, so that you can be searched by location; country, so we know where to find your zip code; and finally, status, so we can keep everyone straight and make the searches a little easier.
Other fields are used for making better matches.
Showing Your Information
After searching for matches, you end up with a list of users that fit your criteria. By clicking on their username, you are taken to a page of information. This page is the only place where your personal information is viewable to other users.
Your username and zipcode are always visible. If the person searching is a registered user, then there is a field for sending you an email.
Right now, your name, city, state and comments are also visible. I have plans to add customization so you can control how much of your information is available to others.
Since phone numbers and addresses are not shown, the only way for to contact anyone through this site is via email. When you are logged in and looking at another users information, there is the option to send that user an email. Their email address is not visible to you from the site. If you chose to send an email, your email address will be sent to them as well.
